Obtaining goals are often very difficult. The field of wellness and health coaching is growing by leaps and bounds because it becoming more widely known that the positive encouragement of like minded people produces exponential results compared to attempting to achieving goals alone. Often times, just discussing one’s strengths and attributes with a coach, colleague or friend can further delineate what your goals may be and how you may best accomplish them. As it relates to the pursuit of fitness and health, the significant reinforcement of good habits that occurs when you have an accountability partner or someone attempting similar goals makes it more likely you will reach your goals. Consider belonging to a gym where you can meet others looking to become more fit, consider joining a walking, running or biking club, or start competitions with friends or family members all over the country where you can keep posts up on Facebook or FitBit. Today, I enjoyed participating in a Color Run for the first time in Fayetteville, North Carolina with some lovely ladies striving to become more fit. This was the first race these ladies had every participated in. They enjoyed it immensely and it was rewarding to see others of all walks of life, shapes and sizes, and various fitness levels participating in the race. It was FUN, EXCITING, and EXHILARATING. Now, these ladies are on fire about starting run training so they can possibly run instead of walking
their next 5K. Stop being a couch potato, get motivated, simply get up!! Finally, consider seeking out a wellness and/or health coach to help you reach your goals.
