A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and nuts has been proven to increase life spans and ward off many diseases.  How we feel is often connected to how one eats.  Fads and crash diets may come and go. Obtaining a nutrition plan that is affordable, realistic and healthy is the best option.  One must be sure to have a diverse plate, one with many colors and variety to ensure the intake of proper amounts of nutrients and minerals.  General information such as reading labels, trying out new recipes, and other small steps can be taken to make our tables more nutritious.
