On a weekly basis, there are 7 days, 24 hours each, making a total of 10,080 minutes per week at our disposal to sleep, work, play AND be fit! The national guideline is for most adults to get 150 minutes of exercise per week. Exercise can be walking, swimming, dancing, biking, and much more. Exercises, eating healthy, managing stress, getting proper rest are all components that contribute to attaining levels of fitness. For longevity, and at a time of an obesity crisis in our country, it is essential for one to be mindful of fitness.
